My name is Ms. Drzewianowski or Ms. D to the students. After spending 10 years working in labs, studying phytoplankton (microscopic plants in the ocean) and managing equipment, I decided to change careers and teach science. My favorite thing about science is how everything is connected. We might not understand everything now but eventually scientists discover the connections that link it all together.
I am a Rhode Island transplant having lived here for the past 6 years. I came to Rhode Island to work at the URI Graduate School of Oceanography after completing my masters in Oceanography. I love spending time outside in nature, exploring, hiking or kayaking. It is the beauty and wonder of nature that first attracted me to study biology. I am excited to teach so that I might share some of my love of science with others.
